Wisdom Wednesdays

A semi-programmed-but-informal, PWYC gathering

including a 15-20min guided meditation/ group attunement to reset and ground your energy fields;

 and then conversations, curiosity, coaching, and community

around spirituality, animism, energy healing, shadow work, integration, the nervous system and subtle body, and shamanic and ancestral approaches to culture and wellness

all to support us being more alive and more human; during our seasons of burnout recovery, grief, and transitions

Imagine for a moment with me:

It’s a dreary day and you’ve just pulled up outside a stone cottage. There’s a warm light coming from the windows and beautiful trees all around. When you step outside the car, you feel your body naturally take a deeper breath in and out. You might still feel a little nervous, but something feels right and open and curious.

  • Maybe you found your way here because you heard my podcast and something resonated and you want to spend a little more time with me, being in conversation.

  • Maybe you’ve worked with me before or been around for a while and just need a little top up

  • Perhaps a friend invited you, saying something along the lines of: “You just have to meet my witchy person, Kate. I can’t really put words to what she does, but she’s helped me immensely and I think she could help you, too.” And so you’ve come looking for a lower pressure way to meet me and feel me out.

In any case, you’re here now, standing outside this cottage, because something in you feels a little lost, a lot tired, and burned a little raw by the way our society seems to operate (even in the supposed healing and wellness world).

A deeper part of you is so hungry for something soulful and grounded you haven’t yet found elsewhere and there’s a suspicion in you that you might find it here.

Welcome, to Wisdom Wednesdays.

An informal place to:

  • Find out more about energy healing and an animist, ancestral, shamanic approach to wellness

  • Be in deeper conversation with soulful and heart-centered humans;

  • Experience a pause and possibly a little reset for your body and nervous system

(Although we’re meeting on Zoom, not in a cute stone cottage, the vibes are that of a group of big-hearted seekers gathering around a fire with warm mugs of tea to wonder about big life questions together.)

The Deets:

The gathering room will be open most first Wednesdays

9am PT || 12pm ET

for 90min

on Zoom

  • Each call will open with a brief intro and then 10-15min of guided grounding/ centering and nervous system reset  before moving into the Q&A/ conversation portion.

  • After the group attunement, we’ll check in about the guided experience and you’ll be invited to drop any questions or subjects you’re interested in exploring more with me into the chat and I’ll pick ones which feel most applicable to the whole group or the times we’re in and we’ll start to have some conversation around those.

  • At some point in the call, I’ll take a few minutes to let you know about any other offers I have going on or ways you can go deeper. I hold no agenda though for what you choose to do with any of that information.

  • The call will NOT be recorded. This is a live, co-created experience. I may use threads of your questions to spark other content I share, but you and any identifying features will remain anonymous.

  • 50% of any money you offer in exchange will be passed on in support of a community-based or grass roots organization supporting environmental stewardship or indigenous rights. Which organization it will be that month will be announced at the gathering.

How to register:

Choose the date (ie month) and time you wish to register for on the calendar below.

From there, you will have three choices:

Register for free: use the green “complete registration” button (ignoring the “Add a pay what you want amount”), and proceed from there.

Register for free now, with the option to PWYC after the gathering (perfect if you wish to pay but are hesitating because you won’t know what value to assign to it until you’ve attended): use the green “complete registration” button (ignoring the “Add a pay what you want amount”), and proceed from there. Towards the end of the gathering, I will share a link you can use to pay any amount you wish.

Register and pay now (perfect if you have an amount in mind now and don’t want to deal with it later): please use the green “Add a pay what you want amount” button to complete your registration.

Thanks!

**Some of my thoughts on PWYC, in case that’s tripping you up**

I see burnout as partly an issue of imbalanced input and output.  Free stuff can easily tip us into imbalance by blurring clear yeses and nos (oooh - I should do it! It’s free!). If input and output are imbalanced, we often struggle to recognize satiation and to implement; and end up further perpetuating patterns of over-consumption, over-giving, exploitation, extraction, and devaluing of inner and outer resources. I’m also aware money and value can be a very charged issue for most of us, so I offer some things to consider below.

I invite you to pay what you can so:

  1. You pause before registering and make sure this really feels like something you want to do, not just another thing to overwhelm yourself with because it’s there and costs nothing;

  2. We can ‘be the change’ and practice rewiring our brains to recognize wisdom, emotional labor, and gatherings of this kind as things which should be valued, not exploited, ignored, and taken for granted like our society models for us all the time;

  3. Our bodies and nervous systems can reorganize around what reciprocity feels like (a key piece in moving away from cultures of burnout!)

I’m not giving you a suggested amount or range or other pricing guideline because:

  1. You are the one responsible for your relationship with your money. If you think we might be a good fit, that this might be just what you need right now, but the only amount you feel safe with is free… I still want you there and would hate to create a sense of guilt or hesitation if you can’t pay within a suggested amount.

  2. Value is in the eye of the beholder. This is as much a community trust exercise and learning opportunity for me as it might be for you.

Ultimately, we’re all humans, existing in money-driven systems, doing our best to afford the things we need and live lives which are satisfying and well-nourished. Let’s find ways to be generous with ourselves and each other accordingly.

About Kate

Hi! I’m Kate - an old soul and highly sensitive empath who guides humans who want to use their burnout as a jumping-off point to journey into their shadows and the shadows of modern culture in order to embody their heart-values; remember a deeper, wilder sense of belonging to the world; and reclaim the rich and sacred spark of their aliveness.

You can find out more about me here.

I’m glad you’re here.
